Homecheck aims to improve home safety for people over the age of 60 and for households with children under the age of 5 receiving intensive support from a Health Visitor.  The service is available to homeowners, council tenants and tenants of private and registered social landlords. 

During the appointment you will receive general safety advice and a security check will be carried out.  If required, minor repairs such as replacing leads and plugs can be carried out.  In addition as part of the Under 5’s Service, one stairgate and one fireguard can be supplied at no cost.

Over 60’s

There are leaflets available which include an application form which needs to be completed and sent to the Community Team at Havant Borough Council.

Under 5’s

The service is only available if you are considered vulnerable, have suffered domestic violence or if your child has additional needs.  Referrals are made by Health Visitors only.
