Our cleansing team will respond quickly to remove dead animals from the public highway. Please report any dead animals needing removal to the above telephone number. We do not remove dead animals from private land. 
 
The Council endeavours to retain a record of the date, time and description of any cats or dogs whose bodies are removed from the highway. Reports should again be made to the telephone number above.
 
Injured animals are normally dealt with by the Police and animal charities.
 
Beachlands staff are responsible for removing animals washed up on the beach at Hayling Island.
 
Landowners are responsible for areas of foreshore that are privately owned.
