Details:
To prevent damage to property and the environment, Havant Borough Council collects shopping trolleys abandoned within the confines of the borough.
 
 
Once collected the shopping trolleys are placed into storage and a bill for collection, storage, return or disposal is forwarded to the particular stores. Once paid, the trolleys are returned to the appropriate stores.

 

If you see a trolley left in any public place, you may contact the store or contact Customer Services for our attention.

 

Store managers:

 

By prior arrangement the council may contact a store so that staff or a contractor can collect them. However, if the trolley is not collected within three hours of that time, the trolley will be collected and the normal billing conditions will apply.
