To prevent damage to property and the environment, Havant
Borough Council collects shopping trolleys abandoned within the
confines of the borough.

Once collected the shopping trolleys are placed
into storage and a bill for collection, storage, return or disposal
is forwarded to the particular stores. Once paid, the trolleys are
returned to the appropriate stores.
If you see a trolley left in any public place, you may contact
the store or contact Customer Services for
our attention.
Store managers:
By prior arrangement the council may contact a store so that
staff or a contractor can collect them. However, if the trolley is
not collected within three hours of that time, the trolley will be
collected and the normal billing conditions will apply. For further
