The Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report establishes the key sustainability issues within the borough and sets objectives for addressing these issues. The scoping process and report effectively establish the topics for consideration and the appropriate level of detail for the main sustainability appraisal. The council commissioned consultants (Entec) to undertake a scoping report in February 2007. The sustainability appraisal report assesses the policies and proposals of a DPD against the scoping report objectives.
