Car Share Schemes
These Car Share schemes are similar to a bus service except that
a car, instead of a bus, picks up pre-booked passengers. The
following schemes are bookable public transport services for anyone
who needs to travel in the areas covered and meets any of the
following criteria:
- There is no bus service running at the time the passenger needs
to travel, OR
- The nearest bus stop is over 400 metres away, OR
- The passenger has a sensory or mobility impairment which makes
it difficult to use a conventional bus service; OR
- The passenger is accompanying someone who meets any of the
above
To use this service you must register with Hampshire County
Council. Call them on 01962 846786 for more
information, and to receive your membership pack and booking
number. You will be advised on application whether you meet the
criteria for using the scheme.
The services operate on Monday to Saturdays only.
