Havant Diversity Network Forum

The Havant Diversity Network Forum was launched in April 2009. Since then the Network has been a useful tool for teams, agencies and organisations, providing services in the area to better meet the needs of the local community.

This has been done by:

  • Providing a forum to share information with a wide range of agencies (working with Havant’s local minority ethnic and those historically found more difficult to engage with) to help promote inclusion.
  • Identifying generic barriers to services that are not always easy to see.
HDNF 2

Originally the Network was principally supported by HBC and HCC ; however the Network has evolved since 2009, to being supported by several agencies across Havant to act as a pool of local and professional knowledge that is shared and utilised.

An important part of the HDNF is to have an increased understanding of the communities in Havant; with that a positive service can be provided, increasing the well being of the community and their confidence and engagement in the services they access.

Please see the Terms of Reference ( PDF , 148 KB ) for a full list of the aims and objectives

So why get involved?

Do you want to be heard and recognised? Well if you are a customer / service user in the borough of Havant, your views count! The HDNF would like to see a greater representation from the community, so that services take into account the needs of all communities.

You don't need any qualifications or experience so why not come to a meeting and contribute to the approach to the delivery of your local services! Or feel free to use the contact details below to find other ways to be involved.

If you are a service provider, providing services for/in the Borough, be a part of the Network to better engage and understand the local community, share information amongst other agencies and in turn improve service provision in the area.

If you would like any further information and/or to be included please contact Caren Ransom, the HBC Equalities and Access Officer on 023 9244 6007, caren.ransom@havant.gov.uk
