Overall aim:
To promote positive well being of ALL within
the local community of Havant by sharing good practice, information
and understanding with a range of agencies in health and social
care in both the statutory and voluntary sector.
This will increase the cultural capability of
all services who have membership to the network, as well as the
partners they work with.
With increased understanding of the
communities in Havant, a positive service can be provided,
increasing the well being of the community and their confidence and
engagement in the services they access.
The network will serve as a useful tool for
teams, agencies and organisations in the area of service provision
to meet the needs of the local communities.
This aim will be met via the following objectives:
- Providing a forum to share information with a wide
range of agencies who work with
Havant's local minority ethnic and
communities of interest, in implementing service
provision to promote inclusion
- Identifying generic barriers to services
that are not always easy to see
- Identifying and sharing training needs for
service providers and the local minority and
hard to reach communities about accessing
services
- Provide signposting opportunities for other
services and agencies
- Sharing funding opportunities for the
potential development of local projects to improve
the well being of the local community by
meeting unmet needs
- Work to promote community cohesion and reduce fear
and misunderstanding within
the wider community
- Providing opportunities for local
agencies to become involved in local events
