News Release

Gentle exercise to keep supple - needn’t be exhausting!

Fun, simple exercise classes to music are taking place across the borough and a new session at St Albans Church Hall, Barton Havant, starts on Wednesday 8th July.

This is a free taster session to trial the new class, which is designed to improve co-ordination, mobility and general well being. If it is successful then the classes will normally cost just £3.00.

Popular classes have been taking place at Springwood Community Centre and Leigh Park Community Centre and are ideal for people who want a gentle introduction to exercise.

The use of stretch bands and resistance balls will help with balance and muscle conditioning and can be chair based if necessary.

There is no need to wear specific sports clothes but flat shoes are essential!

The classes are part funded by Havant Sport and Physical Activity alliance (SPAA). The SPAA have funded the hall use and new equipment which means that the cost of the classes can be kept to a minimum.

The class is being taught by qualified instructor Sally Carter who already has a very successful class at Leigh Park community centre on Fridays at 10:45 am.

Why not come along meet new people and join in the fun!
