As the clock strikes for the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 2011, Havant’s Mayor Councillor Ken Smith, will be taking part in the 2 minutes of silence that will be observed at St Faith’s Memorial in Havant. It is one of a number of events that will be taking place around the borough on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday to pay tribute to British troops.
 
Plaza Opening
On Friday 28 October guests including: Baroness Hanham CBE (Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State), community representatives, and local MP’s Rt Hon David Willetts and George Hollingbery gathered at Havant’s Public Service Plaza to mark the completion of the first phase of refurbishment of the former civic offices.
