Havant is a major interchange station on the main south coast rail network, close to Portsmouth and with other local stations at Bedhampton, Emsworth and Warblington.

Three million passenger journeys start or finish at a Havant Borough station each year, with the most recent statistics showing that our stations have experienced continued growth in passenger numbers - a 15% increase over 5 years.

There are frequent direct services to Portsmouth, Southampton, Chichester, Brighton and London, and a direct weekend service to Southampton Airport. The following list is a snapshot of the weekday daytime service, but note that different patterns and frequencies apply in evenings and Sundays.:

  • Portsmouth to London Waterloo via Petersfield (three trains per hour)
  • Portsmouth to London Victoria via Chichester (one train per hour)
  • Southampton to London Victoria via Chichester (one train per hour)
  • Portsmouth to Brighton via Chichester (one train per hour)
  • Southampton to Brighton via Chichester (one train per hour)
  • Portsmouth to Littlehampton via Chichester (one train per hour)

The following table provides a summary of the services from each station in the Borough - again, weekday daytime services are shown. Each individual journey pattern is shown, hence for example there are eight trains per hour through Havant.
