Selected from more than 750 applications, Havant Borough Council is one of only 21 projects nationally to receive funding from Sport England to help older adults get active.
The National Lottery funding from Sport England awarded Havant £147,000 to encourage residents aged over 55 to take part in physical activity with their family and friends.
We would like to hear from inactive individuals aged over 55 about the types of activities that you would be interested in taking part in. Please complete the following survey:
- 'Can you keep up with the Grandkids' survey (external link)
The closing date for responses is 12 January 2018.
Following the consultation, further details of upcoming activities will be posted to this page so please stay tuned to find out more.
Havant Borough Council is working in partnership with Hampshire County Council Countryside Service, Hampshire Public Health, University of Portsmouth and local delivery partners to provide sociable and fun opportunities to take the first steps into physical activity.
